Panakkad Sayed Umarali Shihab Thangal was qazi from Kerala, India. He was the qazi of Wayanad. He was the chairman of the Kerala Waqf Board and president of the Sunni Yuvajana Sangham. Panakkad Sayed Umerali Shihab Thangal was also the vice president of Samastha Kerala Jam’iyyathul Ulama. He is the second son of Panakkad Pookkoya Thangal and brother of the Indian Union Muslim League president Panakkad Sayed Mohammedali Shihab Thangal (late). Sayed Umerali Shihab Thangal was appointed as Qadi of Waynad district. Thangal was appointed as qadi of many local mahals in Kerala.
