Have you not seen how your Lord dealt with `Ad Iram of lofty pillars,3 the like of whom no nation was created in the lands of the world?

“O Muhammad, We have sent you to be a real blessing for the people of the world.”

“The Holy Prophet said: The one who strives in the cause of rendering help to the widow and the needy is like the one who endeavors and strives in the cause of jihad for the sake of Allah. (And Hadrat Abu Hurairah says) I think that the Holy Prophet also said: He is even like him who keeps standing up in the Prayer constantly, without ever taking rest, and like him who observes the fast continuously without ever breaking it:”

this city where even killing of animals and cutting of trees is forbidden for the people of Arabia, and where everyone is living in perfect peace, you, O Prophet, have no peace, and persecuting you and devising plans to kill you has been made lawful

It may as well mean that in the desert of ignorance, he was standing like a lonely tree, which had the capability to bear fruit and turn the whole desert into a garden, but this capability was not being put to any use before Prophethood

Allah did not leave him without support even for a day. Up to six years of age his mother nourished and looked after him. After her death, his grandfather took him and brought him up with great love.

“O Abu Muwayhibah! I was given a choice (by Allaah); to have control over this world and live in it eternally, followed by Paradise; or, to meet my Lord (now) and be granted Paradise after that.”

When Gabriel did not visit him for several days, the Holy Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم became anxious and distressed, and the pagans began to say that his Lord had become angry with him and had forsaken him.

The tribe of Thamood is also known as the second Aad. Allah had favoured them with wealth and bounties but they forgot him and worshipped idols

“I am the most righteous and fearful of Allah among you but I pray in the night and sleep, I fast and break my fast, and I marry women. Anyone who does not follow my example is not one of my nation.
