Cut onions, green chilies, ginger and curry leaves finely and add the flours. To this add the red chilly powder, salt and asafetida and mix well with the hand.

Heat the pan, pour oil and put the onions to it. When it turns golden brown add chilly and ginger. Add the rest of the masalas one by one stirring continuously.
Thakali Chatni or Tomato Chatni is a tradtional Kerala sauce taken along with rice and curry. While there are various methods of preparing it in other parts of subcontinent, the one shown above is practiced in Kerala.
The poor man’s snack, paripu vada is a quick solution for immediate snacks. It is normally served along with tea as an evening snack.
Fry the small cut onions in oil. Add the green chilies and ginger paste. Fry till the color changes to golden and then add the masalas one by one.
Roast the cashews in ghee. Remove it from fire and roast the avil on small fire till it becomes crispy. Mix the bananas and grinded jaggery in milk. Do not add water. Pour the mixture into a glass. On top put the avil and decorate with cashews.
