This episode discusses the change in man’s economic activities from individual and family units of ancient times, to bigger groups, societies & communities. Also, trade grew in volume accompanied by evolution of money. Industrial revolution of the late 17th and early 18th centuries was the result of several discoveries and inventions – these improved production process & gave more spare time. Rich factory owners became richer while poor workers were exploited resulting in greater inequalities and class conflict.
